Following the successful deployment of the first generation Be Gateway, Bezeq has selected again Heights Telecom as one of the suppliers for their secondgeneration fiber gateway called "Be Fiber".

Furthermore Heights Telecom will provide a companion Wi-Fi 6 EasyMesh R2 compliant extender called "Be Mesh".

With the New Be Fiber gateway and the New Fiber Mesh extender, Heights Telecom is targeting toprovide wireless access everywhere in the home at giga-bit throughputs. To achieve this, Heights Telecom provides a fiber backbone between the gateway and extender based on the FTTR (Fiber-tothe-Room) technology. When required, the fiber backbone can also be utilized via G.hn, MOCA orEthernet connectivity. The New BFiber gateway also acts as an EasyMesh R2 controller. This allows,under normal housing conditions, to achieve full mesh coverage utilizing only one Fiber Mesh extender.

The Be Fiber GPON Gateway is BBF.247 CERTIFIED and support high speed fiber access up to 2.5Gbps.

Both the Be Fiber gateway and the Be Mesh extender are based on the latest Linux release andsupport Heights-Telecom’s containerized SW platform. The containerized SW platform allowsoperators to easily add new 3rd party services to their gateways or Wi-Fi extenders. Examples ofalready deployed services are Cyber security, smart home, mobile App and cloud services.

The industrial Design of the Be Fiber gateway and Be Mesh extender are based on Bezeq’s guidance.Both the gateway and the extender have an attractive appearance allowing both to be place in anyroom in the home. The Fiber Mesh extender can be mounted to the wall or can be placed as a standalone device.
